🇵🇸Rapper Macklemore drops pro-Palestinian track 'Hind's Hall'
The title, Hind's Hall, is a reference to Columbia University’s Hamilton Hall, which pro-Palestine protesters had occupied and renamed after Hind Rajab, a five-year-old child who was killed by Israel in January.
Hind was trapped in a car with her killed family members and surrounded by Israeli tanks nearby. After calling the Palestinian Red Crescent, Hind was killed as the Israeli military bombed the ambulance that was on its way to rescue her metres away.
Paramedics Yousef Zeino and Ahmed al-Madhoun were also killed in the strike.

UN Chief calls on Israel to reopen Rafah and Karm Abu Salem crossings immediately
RAMALLAH, Tuesday, May 7, 2024 (WAFA) – UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called today on Israel to reopen the Rafah and Karm Abu Salem crossings immediately in order to allow the entry of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
Guterres further called on Israel to halt this escalation.
"Closing the Rafah and Kerem Shalom crossings at the same time is particularly harmful to the already desperate humanitarian situation. They must be reopened immediately," warning that a "massive attack" on Rafah, which is crowded with citizens, would be a "humanitarian catastrophe."
Earlier morning, the Israeli occupation forces took over the Palestinian side of the Rafah border crossing and stopped the flow of aid to the Gaza Strip.
UNICEF says 'city of children' Rafah, must not be invaded
GENEVA, Tuesday, May 7, 2024 (WAFA) – James Elder, spokesman for the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), said that the Israeli military attack on the city of Rafah in southern Gaza "will greatly complicate the delivery of aid" to the Strip, warning of famine if the city crossing is closed for a long period.
Elder added in a press conference held today at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, that the Rafah crossing is “the entry point for most aid into Gaza, and the Israeli military attack will greatly complicate the process of delivering aid.”
He confirmed, "If the Rafah crossing is closed for a long period, it is difficult to see how famine in Gaza can be avoided."
Elder pointed out that “Rafah is a children’s city, and it must not be invaded,” as more than half of Gaza’s children live there.
