Poking the Russian Bear - How terror collaborators are hiding behind media slander

As President Recep Erdogan is looking for some political ground to land his feet on, media reports have spun some rather distasteful anti-Russian rhetoric, hoping to salvage Turkey’s political solvency by sullying Moscow’s efforts against terror. We live in a time where deception and misinformation have become so widely institutionalized and standardized that the very concept of propaganda has been reduced down to a simple matter of optics - how issues and crises should be best presented, and facts manipulated for the powers that be to benefit.

Putin, Syria, and the UN: Is America the Biblical Babylon?

News that the United Nations Security Council voted unanimously to adopt a French resolution to eradicate ISIL is sobering and paradoxical. Even as the UNSC deliberates on the best course to defeat what the body called “a global and unprecedented threat to international peace and security,” the United States and other members still double deal on Russia’s initiative to solve for terror in Syria.

One has to wonder what it will take for the insensitive, even thickheaded American administration to acquiesce. It’s as if we’re all watching America melt down into a mud puddle of mindless mediocrity. Watching the world unite, and America falling by the wayside, we must question policy in an almost biblical sense.

Russia has ‘more proof’ ISIS oil routed through Turkey, Erdogan says he’ll resign if it’s true

Russia has received additional intelligence confirming that oil from deposits controlled by Islamic State is moved through Turkey on an industrial scale, said Vladimir Putin. President Recep Erdogan said he will resign if this is confirmed.

Moscow has grounds to suspect that the Su-24 was downed by Turkish jets on November 24 to secure illegal oil deliveries from Syria to Turkey, he said speaking on the sidelines of the climate change summit in Paris on Monday.

At the moment we have received additional information confirming that that oil from the deposits controlled by Islamic State militants enters Turkish territory on industrial scale,” he said.

Drone Pilots have Bank Accounts and Credit Cards Frozen by Feds for Exposing US Murder

The U.S. Government failed to deter them through threats of criminal prosecution, and clumsy attempts to intimidate their families. Now four former Air Force drone operators-turned-whistleblowers have had their credit cards and bank accounts frozen, according to human rights attorney Jesselyn Radack.

Putin, citing national security, signs Turkey sanctions decree

Reuters

President Vladimir Putin signed a decree imposing a raft of punitive economic sanctions against Turkey on Saturday, underlining the depth of the Kremlin's anger towards Ankara four days after Turkey shot down a Russian warplane.

The decree, which entered into force immediately, said charter flights from Russia to Turkey would be banned, that tour firms would be told not to sell any holidays there, and that unspecified Turkish imports would be outlawed, and Turkish firms and nationals have their economic activities halted or curbed.

"The circumstances are unprecedented. The gauntlet thrown down to Russia is unprecedented.

NSA Pretends To Put an End to Mass Surveillance Program

Daily Sheeple

Over two years after Edward Snowden blew the whistle on the NSA, the secretive agency is finally making some changes. They’re putting an end to the mass metadata surveillance of telephone communications, due to the implementation of the USA Freedom Act.

The act was signed into law earlier this year, and beginning at midnight on November 29th, the NSA will have to stop the controversial program.

However, the agency’s surveillance dragnet hasn’t been neutered. The only thing that has changed is the way they collect this data.

Turkey is a Pawn on the Chessboard for US-NATO War against Russia

Turkey’s provocation towards Russia is not surprising at all. Washington’s Fingerprints are at the Scene of the Crime. Let’s consider the facts. Syrian government forces along with Russia have turned the tide against ISIS. It is a known fact that the U.S., France, the U.K., Turkey, Israel, Saudi Arabia and Qatar had been arming, funding, training or provided safe havens for ISIS at some point in time. Turkey was implicated in a 2012 Reuters report stating that “Turkey has set up a secret base with allies Saudi Arabia and Qatar to direct vital military and communications aid to Syria’s rebels from a city near the border.” The report also said: News of the clandestine Middle East-run “nerve centre” working to topple Syrian President Bashar al-Assad underlines the extent to which Western powers – who played a key role in unseating Muammar Gaddafi in Libya – have avoided military involvement so far in Syria.

Rogue State Turkey

by Stephen Lendman

Turkey’s aggression against Russia complicit with Washington remains foremost on my mind - two rogue states posing major threats to world peace.

Their actions speak for themselves.

Ergodan would never attack Russia on his own. Washington likely planned and orchestrated what happened. He was the triggerman, a fascist dictator destabilizing the region along with destroying fundamental freedoms at home. More on his homeland repression below.

Most important is his alliance with US-dominated NATO - a rogue killing machine threatening world peace, waging one war after another, raging in multiple theaters, notably in Iraq and Syria.

Downing of Russian Su-24 looks like a planned provocation - Lavrov

RT

The downing of a Russian warplane in Syria by Turkey appears to be a pre-planned provocation, the Russian Foreign Minister said. Ankara failed to communicate with Russia over the incident, he added.

“We have serious doubts that this act was unintentional. It looks very much like a preplanned provocation,” Lavrov said, citing Turkey’s failure to maintain proper communication with Russia, the abundance of footage of the incident and other evidence.

Lavrov added that many Russian partners called the incident “an obvious ambush.”

‘Turkish jets gave us no warning before shooting’ – rescued pilot of downed Russian Su-24

The navigator of the Russian Su-24 shot down by a Turkish fighter jet on Tuesday insists that his plane did not cross into Turkey’s airspace, and says he was given no visual or radio warning before being fired at.

“It’s impossible that we violated their airspace even for a second,” Konstantin Murakhtin told RT and other Russian media. “We were flying at an altitude of 6,000 meters in completely clear weather, and I had total control of our flight path throughout.”

As well as denying Ankara’s assertions that the plane was in Turkey’s airspace, Murakhtin, who says he knows the mission area "like the back of my hand," also refuted Turkish officials’ claims that the pilots were warned repeatedly.

Social Security 'file-and-suspend' strategy ends in April

There is yet another financial planning deadline looming on the horizon. Congress was nice this time — this newest deadline occurs when the snow melts by April 30, 2016. Nonetheless, time seems to move at an accelerated pace and May will be here before you know it. For that very reason, planning around the latest rule changes regarding Social Security is something to act upon well before then.

To begin, Social Security presents complexities that are not fully recognized by most people. Many retirees consider Social Security a benefit that is simply started at a particular age. Most commonly, surprisingly, people apply at the earliest eligible age of 62.

Leaked Ankara UN letter claims Su-24's ‘air space violation’ lasted 17 seconds

Editor's Note: I thought the MSM said 10 warnings were given! Busted again!

Even if two Russians jets did indeed violate Turkish airspace (which Moscow denies), the intrusion would have lasted for just 17 seconds before one of the Su-24s was shot down, a leaked Turkish letter to the UN revealed.

Two Su-24 planes approached Turkish airspace on Tuesday morning, a letter addressed to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and the 15 members of the UN Security Council said.

The Russian planes are described in a document, published by WikiLeaks and Al Jazeera, as aircraft “the nationality of which is unknown.”

Turkey Has Destroyed Russia’s Hope Of Western Cooperation — Paul Craig Roberts

Turkey’s unprovoked shoot-down of a Russian military aircraft over Syria raises interesting questions.

It seems unlikely that the Turkish government would commit an act of war against a much more powerful neighbor unless Washington had cleared the attack.

Turkey’s government is not very competent, but even the incompetent know better than to put themselves into a position of facing Russia alone.

If the attack was cleared with Washington, was Obama bypassed by the neocons who control his government, or is Obama himself complicit?

Russia deploys missile cruiser off Syria coast, ordered to destroy any target posing danger

RT

Moscow plans to suspend military cooperation with Ankara after the downing of a Russian bomber by Turkish air forces, Russian General Staff representatives said on Tuesday.

Further measures to beef up Russian air base security in Syria will also be taken.

Three steps as announced by top brass:

  • Each and every strike groups’ operation is to be carried out under the guise of fighter jets
