BERN, Friday, June 14, 2024 (WAFA) – Switzerland today announced that it would provide $11.2 million in support to the UN agency responsible for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA).

The Federal Assembly’s Foreign Policy Committee stated that the payment was in response to UNRWA’s appeal for humanitarian aid and was intended exclusively to cover the organisation’s most urgent needs in Gaza between April to December 2024: food, water, shelter, primary healthcare and logistics.
